The Collection acts as a central depository of type and industrially valuable strains of microorganisms in the Republic of Belarus. The Collection is rated as the Object of the National Asset of the country (Council of Ministers Decree of 2022-06-11 No. 758) and is a member of World Federation of Culture Collections (acronym BIM, number 909).
